Traditional Thai Massage (Nuad Thai)

นวดไทย (nuad Thai)

Thai bodywork in which practitioners use hands, elbows, knees and feet to work along the sen — lines understood to cross the body — aiming to rebalance body and energy and the four elements. It grew from village self-care and became a formal body of knowledge, revitalized through a national project from 1985 and inscribed by UNESCO in 2019. A body-practice record (no object is made), included at CRAFT’s decision of October 2026.
